Keila McCracken owner and operator of Bare Cloth, a sustainable clothing business in Bemidji, MN will lead the class in Sashiko mending. Sashiko is a method used to mend clothing that is worn and torn in a way that is artistic and that creates aesthetic value. Sashiko is one of the oldest known mending stitches in human history, originating in Eastern Asia, it is now practiced throughout the world because of its durability, visual aesthetic and cultural significance. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring your well loved clothes that are in need of repair and add value and beauty through the process of repairing.
